Frozen Margaritas

If we have any weaknesses, frozen margaritas fall on that list. You can add chips and queso to that list as well (and check out our recipes for those, too!).

Every once in awhile we’ll whip up these frozen delights and enjoy them in the comfort of our own home. They’re so good you wouldn’t know you weren’t paying top dollar for top shelf at a local establishment.

Frozen Margaritas

Ingredients

  • 6 oz tequila
  • 3 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • ½ cup frozen limeade mix
  • 4 cups ice
  • 2 lime quarters to garnish
  • salt to garnish

Instructions

  • Combine tequila, triple sec, limeade mix and ice in a blender.
  • *opt for the generic frozen limeade mix vs. those fancy brand-name frozen mixers
  • *don’t skimp on the tequila if you don’t have to – any mid-to-high range tequila is preferred
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Take a quarter of your lime and make a slice down the middle on the pulp side. Then run the lime around the rim of your beverage glass.
  • Pour salt on a small plate or dish, larger than the diameter of your glass.
  • Place glass in salt and rotate rim of glass until covered.
  • Pour frozen margarita into glass and enjoy!
