Set oven to broil.
Slice tomatillos in half and place face down on baking sheet. Add garlic and onions to the baking sheet with tomatillos.
Spray or brush vegetables with olive oil.
Place vegetables in oven for 10-15 minutes, until slightly roasted and translucent.
Remove from oven and allow 5 minutes for vegetables to cool.
In a blender, combine vegetables and juices from the baking sheet, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Pulse intermittently to desired consistency.
Pour salsa in a bowl and enjoy warm or cold with fresh baked tortilla chips.
