Rice Krispie Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken tenders
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal crushed
  • 6 tbsp Butter melted
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Place Rice Krispies in a gallon sized storage bag. Roll over bag with a rolling pin until cereal is a course texture.
  • Melt butter and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour crushed Rice Krispies into a shallow dish or pie pan.
  • Pour butter into a separate shallow dish or pie pan.
  • Dredge chicken through the butter mixture, coating thoroughly.
  • Next, dredge buttered chicken through the Rice Krispie mixture and coat evenly and thoroughly.
  • Spray a 2.5 quart or 8×8 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken tenders in the dish. Pour remaining Rice Krispie mixture and butter over the top of the tenders.
  • Cover and bake for 20 minutes at 400°F. Then remove lid and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
